Shannon holds a Bachelor with an emphasis in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. She earned her Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University in May 2019. Shannon is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a rich background in providing compassionate and effective mental health care.

Shannon’s career is marked by her experience in both individual and family therapy. Shannon provides therapeutic treatments for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as those dealing with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Shannon employs a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s specific diagnosis and objectives. Her approaches are client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, strength-based therapy, behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Shannon’s therapeutic methods are grounded in compassion, empathy, and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for her clients. Outside of her professional life, Shannon enjoys swimming, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with her loved ones. These activities help her maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, which she believes is essential for providing the best care to her clients
