Genevieve Maez

Genevieve is the Program Manager for A Path With Heart’s Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) program. She holds an Associate’s degree in Biology from Central New Mexico Community College and studied Psychology at the University of New Mexico. Early in her career she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and later served as a Community Support Worker for a local Albuquerque non-profit. Over the past year she helped build APWH’s CCSS program and worked as a Home Study Provider for another local organization.

Genevieve is pursuing her LMSW while balancing the responsibilities of motherhood.

Her clinical approach centers on meeting clients where they are—working alongside them rather than positioning herself solely as a provider. She is trained in suicide prevention and Crisis Prevention Intervention, and uses de-escalation techniques and Motivational Interviewing to inspire hope and support sustained change. In addition, Genevieve has significant experience supporting individuals with substance use and alcohol use disorders, as well as adjustment-related concerns.

Outside of work, Genevieve enjoys exploring new recipes—especially soups and stews—discovering restaurants, taking walks and excursions, and watching a mix of high-stakes dramas, sitcoms, and psychological thrillers. Her family is her greatest joy.
